Sesc Jazz – formerly Jazz na Fábrica – is Sesc São Paulo's jazz festival that features concerts, digital programs and training activities with national and international artists of the genre. In 2021, after 19 months without in-person shows due to the pandemic scenario, the festival returned with attractions that performed in different Sesc units and this time all activities were broadcast online.
In order to create a stimulating identity, and inspired by the improvisational character of jazz and its constant breaking of rules, we created a font that would be distorted according to the format of the piece in which it would be inserted. The overlapping of the artists' initials creates a transparency that dialogues with the lights of the presentations.
