Edson Lopes Cardoso has extensive experience in political life and black activism. "Nothing will bring them back" consolidates 151 texts published over almost forty years, divided into five thematic blocks: "Black Movement", "Denunciation of the Black Genocide", "Political Incidence", "Journalism in Magazines" and "Imaginário".
Cardoso is relentless in his diagnosis of racial violence, as demonstrated by the constant debate he maintained with the main communication vehicles in the country and by questioning through analysis as sophisticated as they are surprising, figures such as Carlos Drummond de Andrade, Caetano Veloso and João Ubaldo Ribeiro .
